From volunteer, Robyn Plocher, with her permission:

“It has been a great blessing for me to spend this time with the children. I told my husband recently that I feel like Santa Claus, they all fight over who gets to sit on my lap next…I do patty cake and I read stories but I think my favorite time is when one of the children crawls up just to sit quietly… that is very special to me. The little girl that was so fearful and anxious about my presence when I first started coming, now seems like she would be content to sit with me the whole hour… There is also a little boy who is just the spitting image of my husband and my son when they were each that age. It tickles me.”

And from the Center Director, Keeley Fara, with permission:

“Robyn has been a huge help and blessing for the providers and children. I am pleased to hear that it has been an equally rewarding experience for Robyn! I had the opportunity to visit and work with Robyn a bit today and all that she says is true. We are so lucky to have her and feel grateful that you brought her our way! Thank you!”

Love Works Coat Drive

Thanks to your generosity, we collected 44 coats and lots of hats and mittens for Fairview & Adams Elementary students. Huge thanks to Renew Church for the donations and Kasperbauer Cleaners for cleaning the used coats. Our Love Works people - Rachel, Jeff, Jennifer & Jordan - delivered the coats to Katie Farber, Fairview’s school counselor. The other photo: Ellen from Kasperbauer Cleaners with Jennifer, Jordan & Rachel — thank you to Michael Kasperbauer, owner, and the entire Kasperbauer team for their generosity and support! Together, we’re keeping kids warm and hearts full!

May - June 2025

We were blessed to have a number of families contribute to the Carroll Food Pantry. Thanks to all who participated.

From Val Holdsworth + Diane Ohrtman:

“We would like to thank Peg Buman, Titus Casebeer, Raegan Welander, and everyone at Renew Covenant Church for their generosity towards our Carroll food pantry. This donation will help feed many of our low-income families. Thank you!”

We are proud to come alongside our neighbors at Carroll Area Childcare Center and Preschool who so faithfully serve dozens of local families each and every day!
